You should avoid that

The contact between iron metals and wet oak wood should definitely be avoided, as this can lead to unsightly black-blue discolorations and rust formation. Additionally, it is advisable to avoid strongly alkaline adhesives, as they can also leave stains on the wood. Furthermore, it is recommended to pre-drill before using nails or screws in oak wood to prevent splitting of the material.
