Each order is rigorously examined by our skilled personnel before it is delivered to you. If technically feasible, we can tailor each order to your specifications. Each of our products is unique; the grain and color nuances are distinctive, and no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Quality
Untreated wooden strips are particularly visually appealing, as the natural charm of the wood remains fully intact. The careful selection of wood is crucial for the quality of our products. We place special emphasis on distinctive growth characteristics such as knots and cracks to ensure that we use only the best material. Furthermore, each individual wooden strip undergoes a thorough visual inspection by our qualified professional staff during production. We ship our products across Europe while maintaining high quality standards.
Sustainability
The ash tree is an extremely fast-growing tree that is characterized by an impressive growth rate. This rapid regeneration compared to many other types of wood makes ash a particularly sustainable choice for furniture production. The wood of the ash is notable not only for its high durability but also for its longevity. Thanks to its long lifespan, such furniture requires less frequent replacement, which offers both economic and ecological benefits, thus making a valuable contribution to environmental protection.
Ash wood
The ash tree belongs to the hardwoods, but is simultaneously characterized by its very high tensile and bending strength. The wood of the ash is light in a yellowish-white to slightly grayish hue. It also impresses with its ring-porous structure, high hardness, and elasticity. Ash wood is used, for example, indoors for furniture, wall and ceiling paneling, or parquet, but also in the manufacturing of boats, sports equipment, or for carriages and coaches.
Versatility
The wood of the ash tree can be easily bent, peeled, turned, and glued. When planing, it is best to plane with the grain. The surface of ash can be processed without any issues. Since ash wood yellows over time, a UV-protective varnish should be applied. Ash wood is particularly suitable for items subjected to dynamic stress, such as mallets, sport bows, or climbing walls.
You should avoid that
The ash tree is not very weather-resistant and should therefore be treated before being used outdoors. A thermal modification is recommended, where the wood is made weather-resistant solely through heat application, without the use of chemicals. The same applies to ash: metals in contact with moisture cause dark discoloration in the wood. Particularly around knots, the wood tends to splinter. Hard spots in the wood are difficult or impossible to stain. Additionally, it is advisable to pre-drill before using nails and screws.
